Are you suggesting something?

My two new favourite people. For anyone who has not yet had the pleasure, let me introduce you to Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan.

The first time I ever heard a Damien Rice song was in the movie, "The Girl in the Cafe" in which they used "Cold Water". I then came to hear more tracks in the movie "Closer". And ever since hearing the opening chords of Cold Water, I have been enraptured with the workings of Rice and what inspires and pushes him to write these kinds of tales of love and loss.

Quite recently, a friend suggested that I finish downloading "O" and that I also try "9", his other album. She told me that Rice had obviously been fucking torn in half when creating "9", the passion was evident upon my first listen. There are so many moments on 9, that left me wondering what the hell he had experienced to convey such harsh pain but also made me realise how healing I now found 'O' to be.

Ignore this exuberant suggestion if I am just preaching to the converted, but for those of you who haven't experienced any Damien Rice, I say just go for it. There are no disappointing moments anywhere. Every part cuts as beautifully as the last.
