I have discovered a whole type of people while I was floating about on Facebook this morning.
There is an entire stereotype who's existence, before this morning, I was completely unaware of. I present to you.....the Gotti boy
Now I'd seen pictures of this guys around but had no idea what the collective name for them was. These guys actually think they look good.
Then there are the sub-strains and a whole new vocabulary accompanying this phenomenon. (Take for example the word channing, a mixture of charred and tanning. Applicable to the Gotti boy who achieves his 'healthy' complexion from too much time spent on a sunbed, NOT playing volleyball on an actual beach whilst holidaying Monterey). Then there are the guidos (I'm unsure as to whether or this is a derogatory term as of yet, although I'm sure it is used in that sense), douchebags and gemos.
The whole popped collar thing is apparently a big deal. Steer clear, lads and ladies.
The mind boggles when you think about the world around us.

Hahahah, Eww. I hope we're talking here about a minority of the Australian population, because the world might stop if those ... err. weirdos start to grow in numbers. I don't get it how they can actually think they look good! Luckily I haven't seen too much people walking around like that over here. (But then again, I don't really go out much so I might be wrong.)

hahahah oh they are making my eyes bleed all over everywhere. it is quite messy.
I remember when popped collars were popular here for a while, and I was at this party, and all these rich private school boys, every single one was wearing a collar shirt, with the collar popped, and they were all a variation of the colour pink.
anyway I drank too much and ran around putting all their collars down yelling that popped collars were the devils work or some such. Yeah it didn't go down too wellll....
